firefoxAfter training as an accountant I worked in the hotel and catering industry for 15 years before leaving to join innovative technology startup Pegasus Systems Inc. in 1995.

Pegasus’ was an innovator rewriting the rules on how electronic hotel reservation systems would work in the future. With the dawn of the world wide web Forrester Research correctly predicted travel as the first industry to effectively leverage it as a distribution channel and Pegasus’ was in the vanguard of companies providing web brochures and electronic reservations to millions of travellers all of the world; so much so that by 2000 approximately 75% of all online hotel reservations were Powered by Pegasus.

After working for a year on the development project, in 2001 I became a co-founder, COO and Director of Operations, Finance and Legal at Norwegian financial services startup Net Trans Services AS. Net Trans’ technology gurus conceived new ways of solving an age-old problem for the major travel agency groups in the world; how to monitor, measure, track and recover commission on hotel bookings. Net Trans Services now provide recovery services to 100 of the major travel agency groups in the world.

In 2003 I left Net Trans to start my own company supplying internet marketing services to professional property agents, property marketing companies and property developers in France. Internet Pour Immo and Immocherche.com continue to provide customers in France with highly cost effective solutions to online marketing challenges at a time when the current recession is redefining that business sector.

Building upon the resources and experience gained in the development of this project and addition to the provision of software and training to local agents I now design and develop content management systems and ecommerce sites for membership based organisations, charities, not-for-profit organisations and SME’s in the service industries.
